Amacı

 

 

 

 

This course introduces the concepts and physics behind the coupling between the Sun and Earth ‘s magnetosphere and Climate.  The effects of Solar variability in particle and radiation energy on the Earth’s climate and  weather, and near space environment are reviewed in the light of recent developments in the field of modelling and observation techniques in this field.

Gunes’in gozlemleri, Gunes’in atmosferi. Basit akiskan modellerini kullanarak Gunes, Gunes Ruzgari ve yakin Dunya cevresinde meydana gelen plasma islemlerine giris.  Gunes aktiviteleri.  Gunes’in aktif oldugu ve olmadigi durumlarda Gunes’ten olan parcacik ve electromanyetik yayilimlar.  Gunes’in parlakligindaki degisimler.  Plasma ve manyetik alanlar.  Manyetik Birlesme.  Gunes ve gezegensel etkilesim islemleri.  Manyetosferik olaylar.  Iklim olcum ve modellemesi.  Uzun donemli Gunes ve Iklim iliskisi.  Gunes’e ait ve iklimsel parametrelerdeki degisimler.  Alternatif iklim degisimi teorileri.  Gunes ve Iklim etkilesimi uzerine en son literatur bilgisinin ozeti.

Observations of the Sun, Sun’s atmosphere. Introduction to basic plasma physical processes occuring in the Sun, solar wind, and near Earth environment using simple fluid models. Solar activities.  Particle and electromagnetic emissions from the sun under quiet and disturbed conditions.  Variations in Solar brightness.  Plasma and Magnetic Fields, Magnetic merging.  Solar Planetary coupling processes.  Magnetospheric phenomena.  Climate Measurement and modelling.  The longer tern Sun/Climate connection.  The longer tern Sun/Climate connection.  Solar and climate changes.  Alternative climate change theories.  Review on the recent theories on the coupling between Sun and Climate.
